Rory Faciane
Rory comes from a long line of musicians. His grandfather was a country artist who also owned and operated a recording studio, where renowned musicians recorded frequently. At an early age, Rory was influenced by all kinds of music. Rory played the New Orleans bar circuit before furthering his musical education by attending the Percussion Institute of Technology (P.I.T.) in Los Angeles, Ca. There he also played music on the L.A. scene, while never stopping the learning process. He has studied with Jeff Macko of N.O. Symphony, Gregg Bissonette of David Lee Roth's Band and Guy Gelso of Zebra. Rory has won several drum competitions and has toured all over the U.S. When he isn't performing, he's doing studio session work or teaching drum instruction. Rory is also the author of "The Melodic Linear Drum Methos" and has his own instruction video titled "The Essentials of Rock Drumming". Before joining Jay B., he played with recording artist Biloxi, Huckleberry, Silver Run and Judge Parker and has performed with Quiet Riot, Blue Oyster Cult, Slaughter, Survivor, Steppenwolf, Black Oak Arkansas and Dixie Allstars, among others. It's easy to see why Rory's a sought after drummer on the New Orleans music scene.
